Privacy Policy

Who we are

OZ Signal is operated by Stack Industries LLC, a South Carolina company. Contact: gary@oz-signal.com.

Data we collect

• Account data: Email address and hashed password when you create an account.
• Usage data: Pages visited, tracts viewed, and feature usage (collected via server logs and analytics).
• Payment data: Processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID but never see or store card numbers.
• Alert preferences: Email address and selected state(s) if you subscribe to alerts.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser localStorage to remember your walkthrough status and tract view count. Supabase Auth uses secure HTTP-only cookies to manage your session. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

Third-party services

• Supabase: Database hosting and authentication. Data stored in the US.
• Stripe: Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel: Application hosting. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing gary@oz-signal.com. Alert subscriptions can be removed via the unsubscribe link in any alert email.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Contact gary@oz-signal.com.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Terms of Service

Acceptable use

You agree to use OZ Signal for lawful purposes only. You may not scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute OZ Signal data without written permission. Automated access beyond normal browsing is prohibited.

Intellectual property

The OZ Score methodology, component weights, and scoring algorithms are proprietary to Stack Industries LLC. The underlying federal data (Census, BLS, HUD, USDA) is public. Our analysis, scoring, and presentation of that data is protected.

Payments

Paid features are processed through Stripe. All sales are final unless otherwise required by law. Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice.

Disclaimer

OZ Signal provides analytical scores based on publicly available federal data. It is not an official Treasury designation, legal opinion, or investment advice. The official OZ 2.0 eligible tract list will be published by the U.S. Treasury. Consult qualified legal and financial advisors before making investment decisions.

Limitation of liability

OZ Signal is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Stack Industries LLC is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to investment losses, missed opportunities, or reliance on scores or predictions. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.

Changes to these terms

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
